H Financial Solutions (“HFS,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This page contains two notices:

  • Our Website Privacy Policy, which explains what information we collect when you visit https://hfinancialsolutions.com (the “Site”), how we use it, and the choices you have.
  • Our Client Privacy Notice, required by the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, which explains how we protect the nonpublic personal information of our clients.

The Site and our services are intended for individuals and businesses in the United States.

PART ONE: WEBSITE PRIVACY POLICY

  1. Scope

This part covers information collected through the Site, including our contact form and newsletter sign-up. Financial, tax, and other confidential information you provide as a client is covered by our Client Privacy Notice below, by our engagement agreement, and by our professional confidentiality obligations as certified public accountants.

Please do not send tax documents, account numbers, Social Security numbers, or other sensitive financial information through the Site’s contact form. We will provide a secure method for exchanging that information.

  1. Information We Collect

Information you give us:

  • Contact form: your name, email address, phone number (if provided), and anything you include in your message.
  • Newsletter sign-up: your email address and, if requested, your name.

Information collected automatically:
Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, pages viewed, and the date and time of your visit. This information is kept in standard server logs and is used to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Site.

Google Analytics:
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site, such as which pages are viewed, how visitors find us, and how long they stay. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as your device type, browser, general location (city or region), and the pages you visit. Google Analytics does not store your full IP address. We use this information only in aggregate to improve the Site, and we do not use Google Analytics advertising features. You can learn how Google uses this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can opt out of Google Analytics on all websites with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Google Search Console:
We use Google Search Console to see how the Site appears in Google search results. Search Console reports aggregated search data from Google. It does not place cookies on your device or track you on the Site.

  1. Cookies

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. We use the following types:

  • Strictly necessary cookies enable core functions such as page loading, security, and spam protection on our forms.
  • Preference cookies remember choices you make, such as your cookie consent setting.
  • Analytics cookies are set by Google Analytics to measure how the Site is used. These cookies can last up to two years.
  • Third-party cookies may be set by services embedded in the Site, such as our newsletter sign-up form ([NEWSLETTER PROVIDER]).

We do not use cookies for advertising or to track you across other websites. If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the Site may not work correctly.

Submitting the contact form does not create a client relationship. A client relationship begins only when we both sign an engagement letter.

  1. How We Share Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We share information only with service providers that help us run the Site and our communications, and only as needed for them to perform those services:

  • DreamHost, our website hosting provider, which stores Site files, form submissions, and server logs.
  • Google, which provides Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
  • [NEWSLETTER PROVIDER], which stores subscriber email addresses and sends our newsletter.

We may also disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or professional regulation; to protect the rights, property, or safety of HFS, our clients, or others; or in connection with a merger, sale, or transfer of our practice.

  1. How Long We Keep Information

We keep contact form submissions for as long as needed to respond and follow up, and generally no longer than [24] months unless you become a client. Newsletter subscriber information is kept until you unsubscribe. Google Analytics data is retained for [14] months. Server logs are retained according to our hosting provider’s standard practices.

  1. Security

The Site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and we use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, which is one reason we ask that you not send sensitive financial information through the contact form.

  1. Your Choices
  • Newsletter: every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email us to be removed.
  • Analytics: you can decline analytics cookies through [our cookie banner / the “Cookie Settings” link], or install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
  • Global Privacy Control: we honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals as a request to opt out of any sale or targeted-advertising use of your information. We do not engage in either.
  1. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on the state you live in, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you. Regardless of where you live, you can contact us at any time to ask what information we have about you or to have it deleted. We will respond within a reasonable time, subject to any legal or professional record-keeping requirements, and we will not discriminate against you for making a request.

  1. Children’s Privacy

The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.

  1. Links to Other Sites

The Site may link to other websites, such as professional organizations or government resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to read their policies.

PART TWO: CLIENT PRIVACY NOTICE (GRAMM-LEACH-BLILEY ACT)

This notice is provided as required by the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act of 1999.

We collect nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:

  • Information we receive from you on applications, tax organizers, worksheets, and other documents;
  • Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates, or others;
  • Information we receive from a consumer-reporting agency.

We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about our clients or former clients to anyone, except as permitted by law.

We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to those members of our firm who need to know that information to provide services to you. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard your nonpublic personal information. Client information is stored using secure systems and is not stored on our public website.

CHANGES TO THIS PAGE

We may update these notices from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be noted on the Site.
